PDP TO FILL THE POLITICAL VOID

Interim President of the newly formed People's Development Party (PDP) Kondwani Nankhumwa has stated that the party is set to fill the Political void that has been evident in the nation for a long time .


Nankhumwa said this during a press briefing organized by the party yesterday the 2nd of May 2024 at Golden peacock hotel in Blantyre.


In his address , Nankhumwa said that Malawian politics has been characterized with Political entities that have been using Malawians as political cones to achieve and fulfill their political agendas, entities with no intra party democracy, parties with no clear plans to alleviate Citizens from poverty , entities that have been subjecting Malawians to 'Big Man syndrome' and entities that have been exploiting innocent Citizens a narrative his party is set to change.


Nankhumwa further stated that Many Political leaders have been using politics and their power as a tool to enrich their lives rather than enriching the lives of Malawians something which his party is focused to address.


"PDP will provide this country leaders that view their role in Politics  as a Calling not as a tool to enrich the lives of themselves and their families as the case has been for years" said Nankhumwa.


Nankhumwa then assured Malawians not to worry no more  of all these political shortfalls because PDP has come to address these issues .


" Malawi will wait no longer because PDP has arisen to fill that Political void".


On the party's logo which has brought commotion in the past weeks , Nankhumwa said that they chose to use the Eagle emblem as their logo in refference to the eagle's association with power, freedom and strength also taking into consideration the eagle's sharp vision which portrays the party's ability to employ wisdom in decision making which reasonates with the people's needs.


The party is set to organize the Official Party launch ceremony soon where the public and all stakeholders will have in-depth details of the party.

PLU STUDENT UNION ELECTIONS CAMPAIGN DATES CONFIRMED

  Campaign dates for the upcoming Pentecostal Life University (PLU) Student Union elections have been set for the 29th of November 2023 according to the Elections Committee Treasurer . In an interview with the Incumbent Student Union Treasurer who is also treasurer to the Elections Committee Jedidiah Kalilango, aspiring candidates in the upcoming elections are to start campaigning on the 29th of November 2023 and will end a day before voting while the actual day for the elections will be communicated to the Students later "Campaigning will start on Wednesday this week and about the election day, I will confirm" said Kalilango. He further added that registration for those aspiring to contest in the Elections is currently open and will close on Tuesday the 28th of November 2023 at  11:59am.   The much anticipated Pentecostal Life University (PLU) student Union Elections have commenced at the Institution's campus in Area 25, Lilongwe. At exactly 9:30 am Students started flocking at the voting station to elect new office bearers to the Institution's Student Union and most of them showed delight and happiness to exercise their voting rights.
