The  Malawi U20 National team begun their 4 Nations Cup campaign with a 3-2 win over the young Warriors of Zimbabwe in a match played at Silver Stadium.

The Junior Flames who started the match on a low note giving away possesion cheaply , broke the deadlock in the 32nd minute of the first half courtesy of a Madalitso Safuli well struck left footed drive after lapses in the Zimbabwean defense.

The young Warriors kept on searching for an equalizer and found it in the 41st minute of  the half through Antonio Alvin who finished from close range to keep the game level going to the halftime break.

New Civo Service United attacker Emmanuel Savieli scored a brace minutes into the second half in the 56th and 58th minute of the second half to give the Junior Flames a two goal lead advantage.

Zimbabwe  quickly responded in the 62nd minute of the half when Denzel Mapuwa headed in home from a Corner after being left unmark in the Flames box .

All teams tried to find a goal but all goalkeepers were equal to the task.

This win means that the Junior Flames begin the campaign with a win and top of the group in the newly formed round robin format of the competition .
