BATTLE LINES DRAWN

 


All roads tomorrow lead to the country's Football epicenter the Bingu National Stadium for what is expected to be a mouth watering encounter between Quadruple winners FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and the Central Bankers Silver Strikers in the 2024 NBS Charity Shield Match.


Going into the match , FCB Nyasa Big Bullets will be looking to further add Silverware to their trophy shelf which already had  four major trophies last season to its name  following a successful season the Blantyre based giants had .


On the other hand, Silver Strikers will be looking to end the  trophy drought they had last season as well as  stepping  up preparations prior to the resumption of the Country's top flight league and Season.


Silver Strikers Coach Peter Mponda who once had pivotal roles at Bullets as a Player and an Assistant Coach during his stint with The People's team has said that the match is expected to be a good test for his troops as they prepare to kick start their 2024 season Campaign . He further stated that it will be a very tough encounter between two strong sides in the country but refuted assumptions of handling the match as a trophy earning opportunity.


In his words during a pre match press briefing Bullets Coach Kalisto Pasuwa, said the despite having injury concerns prior to the match, the team is ready for the match and his boys know the huge task ahead of them .


Rivarlies between the two teams has been making headlines in recent years as the battle of honor, prestige and jurisdiction continues to be evident amidst them .


The match will be an ideal curtain raiser for the start of the 2024 Football season.
