CHAKWERA TO ATTEND Q AND A SESSION IN PARLIAMENT

President Lazarus Chakwera is today afternoon expected to attend a question and answer session at Parliament building in Lilongwe.

Addressing the house yesterday, deputy speaker of Parliament Aisha Adams said that through  the Q and A session President Chakwera is expected to answer questions from Members of Parliament pertaining to the State of Nation Adress (SONA) which was made by the head of state on Friday the 9th of February 2024.

This session will provide MP's with an ideal platform to enquire on different issues being faced by the nation.

The State of the Nation Address (SONA) is an annual speech delivered by the President or Head of State to update the country on the current social, economic, and political state of the nation. It is usually delivered to a joint session of the country's legislature and is an opportunity for the President to highlight the government's achievements, outline its plans and priorities, and address key issues facing the nation. The SONA is an important event that sets the tone for the government's agenda for the coming year.
