PARTY LACKING INTRAPARTY DEMOCRACY

 


 


Aspiring Presidential Candidate at the upcoming Democratic Progressive Party Convention Kondwani Nankhumwa has stated that there is no Intraparty democracy in the party .


Nankhumwa was speaking this during a press briefing he conducted at Golden Peacock hotel in Lilongwe to confirm his interest of aspiring as a Presidential Candidate at the upcoming Party Convention.


Nankhumwa who was fired from his post as party's vice president for the South, said that the party is lacking Intraparty democracy and people opposing Peter Mutharika's candidacy, are being intimidated .


He continued by saying that once elected as President of the Party at the party's Convention this Month, he will stand on three pillars of Unity, progress and Inclusivity" Once elected I will stand on the three pillars of unity, progress and inclusivity." Said Nankhumwa.


Other notable figures at the presser included Uladi Mussa, Mathews Ngwale, Mark Botomani, Cecilia Chazama and Yusuf Nthenda.


DPP is continuing to face a series of misunderstandings and Conflicts internally pertaining to who is going to be the Party's torch bearer in the upcoming tripartite Elections.
