MULTITUDES TURN UP FOR THE PLU STUDENT UNION ELECTIONS CANDIDATE MANIFESTO PRESENTATION : KEY HIGHLIGHTS.

 

All roads today  led to Pentecostal Life University (PLU) campus in area 25 Lilongwe where Students as well as members of the general public witnessed  the aspiring Candidates Manifesto Presentation ceremony .

Aspiring Candidates in the Upcoming Student Union elections at the Institution had a chance to present their Ideological content through their manifestos to the voting

audience and the event gave that much needed platform to the Candidates .

The Ceremony started with an opening prayer to the most high for guidance as well as favour before a loud lip sync moment, when Students patronizing the event enjoyed a fine music playlist from the DJ which made them sing along to the mesmerizing sweet melodies .

Fanatics and Sympathizers to different contesting candidates Cheered and showed support to their Candidates during the rest of the event giving their Candidates hope, Confidence , hype , Vibe as well as relief .

Sam Kizzy Mhango who has won the Entertainement director position by default, made an engaging speech to his fellow Students outlining his policies in ensuring better Entertainement experiences at the Institution and was heard using the famous trending slogan "eyoh!!!! tiyeni,tiyeni,tiyeni" where to ? we all are eagerly anticipating to know the destination.

Then came the highlight of the event when Tamandani Kalonga a female aspirant contesting for the Cultural Director role gave the crowd a vibrant, eye-catching and breathtaking experience when she came to stage with her traditional dance troop and made a fantastic Performance and surely  made the crowd go wild . 

At times the wrath of the crowd was felt by the boos and murmuring heard in the backgrounds, a reaction which simply showed dissatisfaction and hostility to some sentiments that were being made by other aspiring Candidates.

When time came for Chisomo Cleopatra Banda and her Former best friend Vannessah Ngoma to present their Ideologies, a huge roar from the crowd was heard, everyone showing love to his/her favorite. With this being the toughest competition in the history of Elections at the school, many students wanted to hear from the two arch rivals and I heard someone from the audience saying that" A Gabeya we can confirm awawa awa , apwetekana" .

A panel of two Including  the Dean of Media Studies and a representative from the finance department at the institution made the podium a very hot and hostile place to be for the candidates with a series of tough and yet logical questions to the Aspiring Candidates.

With remarks from the Outgoing President Signer Adin who thanked the Students for the cooperation and understanding during her reign in office , this event really brought in inputs from different personalities at the Institution.

As the event was progressing, Cameras flew from every direction capturing the remarkable moments in a visual context , "Afoto Zulu" and the "Sight Media Group" made sure that Students at the event got themselves the much needed Media coverage in a high definition experience.

After all Candidates pre-emptied their Manifesto Content a prayer was made to thank the most high, for the divine intervention in making the event a success .

The Students at the Institution tommorow go to polls to elect new Office bearers to the Student Union at the Institution and we are just hours away from the decisive moment of this elective procedure .
