HAIYA RESIGNS FROM SULOM PRESIDENCY

 



Newly elected Football Association of Malawi (FAM) President Fleetwood Haiya has today resigned from his post as the Incumbent Super league of Malawi(SULOM) President.


Haiya said this during a press briefing conducted in Mzuzu to get his remarks on his new role .


This comes barely few minutes after he was elected by FAM affiliates as the association's President defeating incumbent Walter Nyamilandu during FAM Elective General Meeting (EGM) which took place at Mzuzu Hotel Mzuzu.


Haiya further stated that SULOM Vice President Colonel Gilbert Mitawa will be replacing him as new SULOM President.


Haiya was elected as new SULOM President on the 25th of February earlier this year defeating Tiya Somba Banda and his decision makes him the shortest serving SULOM President in the country's Football history.
