FEMALE ED POSITION REIGNITES RIVALRY

The Female Entertainement director position in the upcoming Pentecostal Life University (PLU) Student Union elections is set to bring rivarly and stiff Competition after two of the most Influential and tough opponents at the Institution  are set to battle it out in the polls .


Chisomo Cleopatra Banda a third year student at the Institution is set to battle it out with Vannessah Ngoma a third year student studying procurement and supply chain management. 


The two Aspirants who used to be best friends at a certain pointing time before breaking ties, are Influential figures at the Institution regarding their presence in the Urban Music circles and both have a strong votes projection coming into these Elections making their Competition very stiff and tough .


In an online interview with the Sight Media Group, Cleopatra stated that she is very passionate and dedicated when it comes to bringing a vibrant and mesmerizing Entertainement experience at the Institution, adding that with her experience, vision and Influence she is set to meet the Entertainement needs of each and every student at the Institution "The students should have trust in me because i am a person with vision, experience, influence and an understandable person 

I will understand the needs and preferences of the students and aiming to create entertaining experiences that cater those interests", said Banda.


She further added that she plans of developing talent at the Institution by re-introducing the PLU cypher and dance crew to bolster the reputation of the Institution as well as adding to the Entertainement roster something engaging and fun and also organizing vibrant events with her experience as an event planner .


However Cleopatra also showed no fear and an  element of being threatened by her opponent Vannessah by saying that she is only focused on using her capabilities to perfect her strategy and that her dedication to collaboration and Inclusivity gives her an upper hand over her opponent. She then urged Students at the Institution to vote for her as an entertainment director for a better Entertainement experience"My strategy for competing against my opponent is to focus on my own strengths and ideas, rather than comparing myself to her. I believe that my dedication to collaboration and inclusivity gives me an upper hand, as I am committed to working with the entire student body to create entertainment experiences that everyone can enjoy" , further said Cleopatra.


On the other hand Vannessah Ngoma in an online interview with the Sight Media Group said that She decided to contest in the Elections as an Ed to change the Entertainement sector at the Institution in a positive and engaging manner and highlighted the fact that she is a top model which has made her to have many connections in the Entertainement arena in the country which she is to use to bolster the Institution's Entertainement sector "I came openly to Contest because of my passion to entertainment and inspirations of wanting to change PLU's entertainment for it to be different .Apart from me being a student ,I'm a top model that is very sociable, humble and interactive with very good connections in the entertainment arena", said Vannessah .


She then said that her plans will include giving PLU the much needed exposure to the corporate world by engaging other tertiary Institutions to create collaborative vibrant entertainement events .


She further stated that She will have a very effective strategy in beating her opposition by sticking to her game plan because she is not contesting with her opponent out of anger, bitterness or hate but out of passion and vision for Entertainement , also disclosing that the two used to be best friends before turning into enemies"Yes she is tough but I wouldn't use the word very... My strategy is very simple, I've interacted with some of my fellow students to help mu publicity and for  people   to know me. Apart from that I interacted with some other artists to support me  since they make  a big deal.. The difference between me and my opponent is that I am not competing just because of hate or being Enemies no ...am competing with passion , vision and a chance for change.Yes she was once a best friend who turned into an enemy", further said Vannessah.


The Competition between these two Aspirants has brought different views from Students at the Institution and has divided the Institution into two rival camps .


The Institution is to go to polls on the 6th of December 2023 to usher into office new office bearers to their Student Union.

  Pentecostal Life University (PLU) is set to recognize the efforts made by outstanding personalities graduating at the Institution at the upcoming Finale dinner gala. The Institution is staging a Finale dinner gala event scheduled for Friday the 22nd of December 2023 at the state of art Bingu International Convention Center in Lilongwe. According to the University Management, all logistics pertaining to the event have been finalized and that the Institution will be awarding Students who performed well in different Categories during their time at the Institution Including Sports, Leadership, Discipline, Enterprenuership , Socialization and Dressing just to mention a few. The management further stated that the Criteria used to choose nominees was purely based on merit. PLU STUDENT UNION ELECTIONS CAMPAIGN DATES CONFIRMED

  Campaign dates for the upcoming Pentecostal Life University (PLU) Student Union elections have been set for the 29th of November 2023 according to the Elections Committee Treasurer . In an interview with the Incumbent Student Union Treasurer who is also treasurer to the Elections Committee Jedidiah Kalilango, aspiring candidates in the upcoming elections are to start campaigning on the 29th of November 2023 and will end a day before voting while the actual day for the elections will be communicated to the Students later "Campaigning will start on Wednesday this week and about the election day, I will confirm" said Kalilango. He further added that registration for those aspiring to contest in the Elections is currently open and will close on Tuesday the 28th of November 2023 at  11:59am.   The much anticipated Pentecostal Life University (PLU) student Union Elections have commenced at the Institution's campus in Area 25, Lilongwe. At exactly 9:30 am Students started flocking at the voting station to elect new office bearers to the Institution's Student Union and most of them showed delight and happiness to exercise their voting rights.
