CROSS OVER NIGHT TO BOOST THE COUNTRY'S ECONOMY

The upcoming cross overnight organized by Philanthropist Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and the Enlightened Christian Gathering scheduled for the 31st December 2023 in Lilongwe is expected to boost the country's economy through forex gaining.


In an interview with the Sight Media Group Spokesperson to Prophet Shepherd Bushiri, Aubrey Kusakala stated that the crossover event is to enhance the  country's economy by bringing in forex "The crossover event is to boost the country's economy because as I am talking to you right now, maltitudes are already converting foreign currency into Malawian Kwacha something which means that as a country forex is now coming in . This is because our visitors from abroad want to have ease in  securing accomodation, buying commodities and transportation," he said .


Kusakala further stated the crossover will also  boost  the Hospitality Industry because alot of visitors coming for the event have already started using  the hospitality  facilities in the country which has made Lilongwe to experience an economic boom " Lilongwe is experiencing an economic boom because currently many hotels and other accomodation facilities are filled to the bream something which will boost the hospitality industry alot ," Said Kusakala .


The country is currently facing economic hurdles due to lack of foreign currency as well as the recent devaluation by the central bank and this event comes at an ideal time to ease the hurdles on many Malawians.


This year's theme of the Crossover Night is titled"The Night of Wealth transfer".

PLU STUDENT UNION ELECTIONS CAMPAIGN DATES CONFIRMED

  Campaign dates for the upcoming Pentecostal Life University (PLU) Student Union elections have been set for the 29th of November 2023 according to the Elections Committee Treasurer . In an interview with the Incumbent Student Union Treasurer who is also treasurer to the Elections Committee Jedidiah Kalilango, aspiring candidates in the upcoming elections are to start campaigning on the 29th of November 2023 and will end a day before voting while the actual day for the elections will be communicated to the Students later "Campaigning will start on Wednesday this week and about the election day, I will confirm" said Kalilango. He further added that registration for those aspiring to contest in the Elections is currently open and will close on Tuesday the 28th of November 2023 at  11:59am.   The much anticipated Pentecostal Life University (PLU) student Union Elections have commenced at the Institution's campus in Area 25, Lilongwe. At exactly 9:30 am Students started flocking at the voting station to elect new office bearers to the Institution's Student Union and most of them showed delight and happiness to exercise their voting rights.
