RBM REBUFFS K10,000 NOTE INTRODUCTION

The Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) has rebuffed reports circulating on Social Media platforms and around the country regarding possible plans of introducing a K10,000 note .

Governor of RBM Dr Wilson Banda, made these remarks during a press briefing the Country's Central Bank made this Afternoon.

Banda further stated that RBM has no plans to Introduce a K10,000 note because they are  currently working on  appreciating  the country's Currency following it's devaluation and  that the Bank's effort is being directed towards that course .

He then said that it is very unfortunate to see many people doing business in the country taking advantage on the current Kwacha devaluation issue and raising prices of their commodities.
