PARLIAMENT DENIES NANKHUMWA'S REQUEST

 


The Parliament House has today denied a request made by leader of opposition in the house Kondwani Nankhumwa to summon President Chakwera before the house to answer some questions from Members of Parliament.


The resolution to deny the request was made through a vote in the house, where 63 Members of Parliament voted against the request while 50 Members of Parliament voted in support of the request.


The request by Nankhumwa was aimed at demanding answers from the State President on the Kwacha devaluation, hunger issues in the country, Affordable Input Programme and fall in the country's security levels .
