MERA HIKES GAS PRICE

The Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (MERA) has announced a raise in   gas price from  K2,450 to K3,245 per Kilogram effective from 17th November 2023.

In a letter released by MERA Board Chair Reckford Kampanje, the price hike is as a result of the Kwacha devaluation.

This development comes barely days after MERA also raised prices of petroleum products including Petrol and Diesel attributing the raise to Kwacha devaluation.
