FUEL PRICES HIKED

 


Fuel  prices in the country have been adjusted upwards effective 10th November 2023 .


Confirming about the development through a letter , Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (MERA) has confirmed about the issue stating that the price adjustments where made having considered recent trends in the World Petroleum products prices as well as exchange rate movements and their Impact on the energy prices .


With the new set up , Petrol is now being sold at K2,520.00 per litre from a possible K1,746.00 representing a 44.90% change , Diesel is now at K2734.00 from K1920.00 representing a 42.40% and Kerosene is now being sold at K1910.00 from K1261.00 representing a 51.47% change .
