NO NEED TO INVITE THE PRESIDENT

Organizers of the Mulhako wa alhomwe cultural festival have stated that they will not be inviting President Dr Lazarus Chakwera to this year's edition of the event because many Lomwes are being sidelined by the Chakwera led government.

Pious Mvenya who is the Chairman of the event Organizing committee has said that they see no need of  inviting Chakwera with the current state of the country , further stating that things in the country are not ok .

Reacting to this development , Minister of Information who is also government spokesperson Moses Kunkuyu has denied claims that the government is sidelining the Lomwe in the country and has said that the president does not need to receive a special invitation to the event since these kind of events are organized with consultation from the government in a move that is aimed to bring unity in the country.

This year's Mulhako wa alhomwe  cultural festival is scheduled for the 6th and 8th of October at Chonde in Mulanje this year .
