CHIWERE LAID TO REST

Malawi Congress Party Member of Parliament for Dedza Central Daniel Chiwere  has been laid to rest today at Kalinyeke ,  Dedza in the area of Traditional Authority Kaphuka .

Chiwere passed on , early this week on Monday the 17th of July 2023 after suffering from Pneumonia.

Attending the burial ceremony President Dr Lazarus Chakwera said that loosing Chiwere was a great loss to the nation for he was a true servant of his people but also a man who was dedicated to his work and not corrupt and urged other politicians to emulate his deeds as he was also a servant who worked tirelessly not for the purpose of recognition and prestige .

In his remarks a representative from the bereaved Family thanked the President and other Members of Parliament for showing support to the bereaved family and described the loss of Chiwere as a huge loss  and setback to the family .

Chiwere was born on the 20th of July 1974 and passed on the 17th of July 2023 and had been a member of Parliament for Dedza Central Constituency for 9 years .

Also attending the Burial ceremony were Minister of Information Moses Kunkuyu , Minister of Local government Richard Chimwendo Banda , Minister of Homeland security Ken zikhale Ngoma just to mention a few .

PLU STUDENT UNION ELECTIONS CAMPAIGN DATES CONFIRMED

  Campaign dates for the upcoming Pentecostal Life University (PLU) Student Union elections have been set for the 29th of November 2023 according to the Elections Committee Treasurer . In an interview with the Incumbent Student Union Treasurer who is also treasurer to the Elections Committee Jedidiah Kalilango, aspiring candidates in the upcoming elections are to start campaigning on the 29th of November 2023 and will end a day before voting while the actual day for the elections will be communicated to the Students later "Campaigning will start on Wednesday this week and about the election day, I will confirm" said Kalilango. He further added that registration for those aspiring to contest in the Elections is currently open and will close on Tuesday the 28th of November 2023 at  11:59am. PLU STUDENT UNION ELECTIONS COMMENCE

  The much anticipated Pentecostal Life University (PLU) student Union Elections have commenced at the Institution's campus in Area 25, Lilongwe. At exactly 9:30 am Students started flocking at the voting station to elect new office bearers to the Institution's Student Union and most of them showed delight and happiness to exercise their voting rights.
